Amy Schumer shared a series of unfiltered bikini photos on Instagram this weekend, drawing warm reactions from fans and celebrity friends as she showed off the results of her recent weight loss. The 45-year-old comedian posed in a colorful two-piece while relaxing by the water, smiling at the camera during a summer getaway. «I never knew there would be days like this,» she wrote in the caption. «No filter as per ushe.»
Among those praising the post was actress Kate Walsh, who commented, «So beautiful, Amy. Happy and thriving.» Other followers echoed the sentiment, with one simply writing «Gorgeous.» The post adds to a pattern of Schumer openly documenting the ups and downs of her health and body over the past two years.
In October, the «Trainwreck» star shared another transformation photo, showing herself in a tiny black dress and heels with two friends at a Paul McCartney concert in Las Vegas. The image drew quick reactions, including from comedian Anjelah Johnson, who wrote, «Okay Amyyyyyy,» and actress Isla Fisher, who commented on her legs.
Schumer has credited a combination of approaches for her recent changes. In March 2025, she praised the effects of Mounjaro, also known as tirzepatide, in an Instagram video shared with her nearly 13 million followers. She said she had tried Wegovy about three years earlier but could not tolerate it. «I was like puking. I couldn't handle it,» she said in the clip, adding that she later went through a telehealth meeting with MidiHealth, which she described as inexpensive. She said she tried it herself before recommending it to friends.
Along with the injectable medication, the comedian detailed a routine that includes hormones. «They put me on estrogen and progesterone because I realized I was in perimenopause and my symptoms of being in perimenopause have disappeared,» Schumer said. She noted that it took trial and error to find what worked for her.
Last year, on «The Howard Stern Show,» Schumer described a difficult experience with another weight-loss drug. She explained that she carries a gene called GDF15, which makes her extremely prone to nausea, the same reason she was so sick during her pregnancy. After trying Ozempic almost three years ago, she said she was bedridden and vomiting. «I lost 30 pounds so quick,» she recalled. «I looked great, and I couldn't lift my head off the pillow, so what's the point?»
Schumer, who is mother to 4-year-old son Gene, whom she shares with ex-husband Chris Fischer, has long been outspoken about body image and the pressure women face in Hollywood. She has frequently used humor to address comments about her appearance while encouraging others to prioritize health over unrealistic beauty standards.
In February 2024, after fans questioned swelling in her face, Schumer revealed she had been diagnosed with Cushing syndrome. She later described the diagnosis as a blessing because it led doctors to find the underlying cause. Schumer has also been candid about living with endometriosis and undergoing a hysterectomy in 2021, sharing updates about her health in an effort to normalize conversations around women's medical issues.
